There aren't any Tesla stores in the Buffalo Niagara region where you can check out their electric vehicles. But you could take one for a test drive later this month.
The Tesla Owners Club New York State and the electric vehicle maker are bringing a fleet of Tesla vehicles to Clarence, where Tesla staff will offer test drives on a first-come, first-served basis to drivers who have preregistered for the event at the Tesla Owners Club website, tocnys.org.
Tesla plans to have its Model S, Model X and Model 3 electric vehicles at the event, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 27 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 28 in the parking lot next to Brennan's Bowery Bar & Restaurant, 4401 Transit Road.
Tesla held a similar event in Rochester in December. The test drive events give drivers a chance to get behind the wheel of a Tesla electric vehicle without having to travel several hours to a Tesla store. Tesla also is expected to have information available for drivers who are interested in the solar energy products, including the solar roof that is under development, produced at its Buffalo solar panel factory.
