New York State Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,500 to anyone who can help police identify the suspect in the attempted robbery of a Pleasant Valley Mobil gas station.
The nonprofit agency, in coordination with state police, is looking for information directly leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for “the attempted robbery and assault,” according to a press release from the Crime Stoppers. The attempted robbery occurred on Tuesday night at around 8:50, according to the release, and the suspect is believed to be male.
The person, who was captured in security photos, was wearing what appears to be an orange ski mask, a jumpsuit and gloves. He or she is pointing what looks like a gun.
State police responded to the Mobil on Tuesday night to investigate the incident.
Anyone with pertinent information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-866-313-TIPS, according to the release.
