Dow jumps 200 points on gains for Exxon Mobil, UnitedHealth shares - MarketWatch

Behind strong returns for shares of Exxon Mobil and UnitedHealth, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Thursday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, +0.16% is trading 203 points, or 0.9%, higher, as shares of Exxon Mobil XOM, +3.13% and UnitedHealth UNH, +3.00% are contributing around one third of the blue-chip gauge's intraday rally. Exxon Mobil's shares have risen $1.77, or 4.2%, while those of UnitedHealth have climbed $10.21, or 3.7%, combining for an approximately 82-point boost for the Dow. Dow Inc. DOW, +2.26%, Chevron CVX, +2.79%, and Boeing BA, +2.05% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the benchmark's 30 components equates to a 6.86-point swing.
