Dow rallies 450 points on gains for shares of Intel, Exxon Mobil - MarketWatch

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is rallying Wednesday morning with shares of Intel and Exxon Mobil delivering strong returns for the blue-chip average. Shares of Intel INTC, +5.14% and Exxon Mobil XOM, +3.07% are contributing to the index's intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +1.63% was most recently trading 455 points higher (2.0%). Intel's shares have gained $2.76, or 4.9%, while those of Exxon Mobil are up $1.86 (4.5%), combining for an approximately 32-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Chevron CVX, +2.07%, Boeing BA, +2.06%, and McDonald's MCD, +2.66%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark equates to a 6.86-point swing.
