Dow's 886-point surge highlighted by gains for Boeing, Exxon Mobil stocks - MarketWatch

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is soaring Friday afternoon with shares of Boeing and Exxon Mobil delivering strong returns for the blue-chip average. Shares of Boeing BA, +10.86% and Exxon Mobil XOM, +8.14% have contributed about two thirds of the index's intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +3.35% was most recently trading 886 points higher (3.4%). Boeing's shares are up $22.59, or 12.3%, while those of Exxon Mobil have risen $3.81, or 7.8%, combining for an approximately 181-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Raytheon Technologies Corp. RTX, +7.65%, Travelers TRV, +6.09%, and Chevron CVX, +4.66%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.86-point swing.
