Police: Armed man robs Mr. Mike’s Mobil in York - Seacoastonline.com

YORK, Maine — A man armed with a gun robbed the Mr. Mike’s Mobil on Route 1 in York early Sunday morning.

On Sunday, July 12, at approximately 1:28 a.m., the York Police Department received a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at Mr. Mike’s Mobil located at 519 U.S. Route 1 in York, according to a press release from York Police.

Through the course of the investigation, police said, it was determined that the suspect brandished a firearm outside the store to a vehicle with two occupants. The suspect then entered the store, pointed the firearm at the clerk, and demanded the money from the register. After the clerk gave him the money from the register the suspect then left the store and fled on foot.

Police said the suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot, 2-inches to 5-foot, 4-inches tall with a thin build and brown hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black basketball-style shorts, black socks and red sneakers. The firearm is described as an unknown caliber revolver.
