WESTFIELD -- The Mobil station at 181 Elm St. in Westfield closed abruptly last week.
But CrossAmerica Partners, the Allentown, Pennsylvania, company that owns the real estate says have no fear. The station and its Dunkin Donuts will reopen. The station closed because its former operator left the location.
“A new tenant will be leasing the space starting in the middle of August. The station will remain a Mobile and is scheduled to resume operation soon,” said Glenn Faust, vice president of wholesale operations for CrossAmerica Partners, in an emailed response to questions.
The station is on the northern edge of downtown, where Route 20 intersects with Routes 202 and 10.
