A Tesla plunged off of a cliff at Devil’s Slide in San Mateo County on Monday, falling 250 feet and critically injuring the four people inside, according to Cal Fire’s San Mateo-Santa Cruz unit.

Two children and two adults were in the vehicle, a spokesperson for Cal Fire said in a video that the agency released at noon, by which time multiple ambulances were en route to the scene.

Emergency crews warned motorists to expect delays as firetrucks packed the road and rescue teams assessed the wreck.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
